Bassline synthesizer
Squelch, slide, accent. Under pressure.
A modern acid bassline synth with a circuit-modelled voice, a squelching diode-ladder filter and a 64-step sequencer that slides, accents and ties like the real thing. Then it keeps going: song mode, an arpeggiator, 8 macros, a modulation matrix, a full effects rack and 12 skins.

Overview
The classic monophonic acid voice on top, the deep circuit extensions below, the sequencer at the bottom and the effects rack on the side, all on one page. Green acid runs through glass tubes into the reactor-core CUTOFF knob, and everything you need to write a line is in reach.
Preset previews
Eight factory presets, straight out of the plugin: bass only, no drums, four bars at each preset's own tempo, rendered at ULTRA quality. Hit play and watch the scope.
Classic core voice
TUNING, CUTOFF, RESONANCE, ENV MOD, DECAY, ACCENT and VOLUME, exactly where your hands expect them. Underneath sits a circuit model: a saw core with its waveshaper droop, a square derived from the saw, and a nonlinear four-pole diode-ladder filter that, like the original, barely self-oscillates.
Drifted capacitor tolerances and dried-out coupling capacitors: the slightly worn, slightly unpredictable box that has played a thousand parties.
Every component on spec. The same circuit as it would have left the factory: tight, even and predictable.
Twice the drive into the filter, a stronger accent sweep and restored low end for lines that have to hold up on a big system.
Deep mods · circuit extensions
Ten circuit extensions open up the parts of the voice that used to be fixed, from separate accent and normal decays to audio-rate filter FM and a sub oscillator.
Step sequencer
Up to 64 steps on four pages of 16. Every step has pitch, a NOTE / TIE / REST gate, accent, slide, octave, vibrato and its own cutoff lane, and tie, slide and rest behave like the original box.

HOST follows your DAW sample-accurately, loop points included. KEY starts and transposes the pattern from a MIDI key. FREE runs on its own clock.
128 pattern slots (A–H × 1–16), a pattern lock across preset changes, and SONG mode with up to 64 entries, repeats and transposes. MIDI notes 24–39 pick patterns 1–16.
Step-record from MIDI (velocity 100+ is an accent, overlapping notes slide) or use classic entry: a pitch pass, then a time pass. Accent, slide, octave and mod lanes can each run their own length.
Seeded RANDOMIZE with density, accent and slide amounts in 11 scales, MUTATE, and EVOLVE: the pattern drifts every 1–16 passes and is pulled back toward the one you stored.
DRAG MIDI straight into your DAW, DRAG AUDIO to render the pattern to a WAV, or IMPORT MIDI to bring a line in.
Switch from SEQ to NOTE (mono, last note wins, overlapping notes slide) or ARP: 12 orders, 1–4 octaves with four octave modes, its own rate, accent and slide modes, repeat and HOLD.
Modulation + macros
Eight macros, each driving up to eight targets with its own curve (LINEAR, EXP, LOG or S-CURVE). MACRO 1–4 start as SQUELCH, GRIT, SPACE and WOBBLE, and pad pressure can drive them.
Drive + effects rack
Two drives, three effects in any of six orders and a master strip. Every switch crossfades without clicks, and the mod effects keep the bass dry and mono below 180 Hz.
Two drive stages routed 1 → 2, 2 → 1 or in parallel, each PRE (inside the oversampled voice, before the filter) or POST, with DRIVE, TONE, MIX and auto-gain.
Chorus, phaser or flanger with rate from 0.02 to 10 Hz, depth, mix and feedback.
12 synced times from 1/32 to 1/2 (3/16 included), feedback up to 0.95, tone and ping-pong.
Size, damping, pre-delay up to 250 ms, decay, width, low cut, modulation and ducking.
FILTER (LP, HP, BP or COMB), CRUSH, COMP (single or 3-band multiband, with mix), a 4-band EQ and WIDTH with MONO BASS.
Plus your own .acidfx files.
New release
Circuit-modelled voice, 64-step sequencer with song mode, 8 macros, a full FX rack, 12 skins, 301 presets and 400 patterns.
Skins
Five material families, from clear acrylic to smoked acrylic, frosted silver and stealth rubber, switched live. Or open the theme editor, set your own panel, accent, LED, neon and text colours (with a contrast warning) and share it as an .acidtheme file.
Factory content
Every preset carries its own pattern bank (a main pattern and three variations) and is levelled to sit together, around −16 LUFS. All 400 patterns are written on a key, a mode and a real chord progression, so every strong beat lands on a chord tone.

FAQ
The Windows installer for the AcidBeast standalone application and VST3 instrument, with all factory presets, patterns and skins. Your license key arrives by email straight after checkout.
No. The standalone app runs on its own with the sequencer on its internal clock. In a DAW, load the VST3 and let the sequencer follow your host tempo and loop points.
AcidBeast is for Windows (64-bit) at launch.
Two. Sign in with your BEAST account on each computer; after activation a paid license keeps working offline.
Yes. Drag a pattern out as MIDI, render it to audio with DRAG AUDIO, or import a MIDI file into the sequencer.
Yes, with Ableton Live on a computer: the 8 macros sit on the first encoder page and the classic knobs on the second, and pad pressure can drive a macro. Push 3 in standalone mode cannot load third-party plugins.
Yes. MIDI learn handles absolute and relative encoders with min/max ranges, and comes with ready-made GENERIC and HARDWARE BASS BOX maps.
